Most underfloor heating systems are controlled on a room by room basis, each running off of its own thermostat. So while you may wish to have a cooler bedroom or kitchen, you will probably like the lounge or bathrooms to be warmer. With a direct response underfloor heating system, you can individually adjust the temperature settings in each room to suit your needs.

The system still allows for time control over the heating, enabling you to specify when the heating is on or off. This can be controlled using either individual programmable thermostats, or using a suitable timeclock and setback facility.
