Heat Sources

There is a wide choice of possible heat sources, from combi and condensing boilers, to heat pumps and low grade hot water from industrial processes. Solar power can be used in association with a thermal store and stoves and ranges may also be used.

The heat source must be able to generate water at temperatures 10C above the flow temperature required for the particular floor system (which is 45C for solid floors, 60C all other systems).

Where a heat pump is being considered, we allow for extra pipe in the system to allow operation at the lowest flow temperature possible, maximising efficient operation of the heat pump. Liaise with us regarding you chosen heat pump supplier and we will ensure controls are compatible.
