Robbens Systems manufactured these manifolds as standard for many years and became one of the identifying features that stood us out from the crowd. The Skills that were developed during this time allowed us to progress into more modern manufacturing techniques without losing any of the quality or functionality of our magnificent handmade manifolds.
Manifolds
At the heart of every underfloor heating system is the manifold. All the pipework in the building is brought back to a central distribution point, which is called the manifold. The flow and return is taken from the manifold back to the heat source of the building.
Many aspects influence the design of the manifold. At Robbens we can assemble the manifolds to suit any project. Geo thermal / pumped tempered supply may not require water temperature control, separate pump sets can be specified – no matter what the set-up might be Robbens can provide a manifold and system specific for the project.
The current manifolds are the next generation manifold, providing an easy to install setup and use system for the majority of underfloor heating needs. They arrive to the customer assembled from various high quality components, pre balanced and labelled to provide a bespoke manifold for your project.
With today’s abundance of heat pumps and weather compensator units within the heating industry, full compatibility is assured with one of our distribution manifolds. Usually, when higher than required water temperature is supplied, the need to reduce the water temperature is essential. However, when the water is supplied at a reduced temperature, then this blending would only reduce the water temperature further and affect the systems performance. Robbens distribution manifolds, remove the additional blending component, and ensure the water being supplied to the underfloor heating is at the intended temperature from the heat source.
Whenever a manifold is assembled, a corresponding pump is fitted depending on the project requirements. The majority of all pumps used are energy saving, modulating pumps supplied by Grundfos; there are exceptions to this for larger custom manifolds, which may require an oversized pump to deal with the flow rates or kilowatts required for that manifold.
