Robbens Systems Underfloor Heating

Robbens Systems - Underfloor Heating

Modulating Manifolds

Adaptive Manifolds

Adaptive manifolds are intended for use in projects where the supplied water temperature adjusts itself above and below the required temperatures for the underfloor heating.

In some cases, if an adaptive manifold is to be used, but the weather compensator needs to go higher for an additional heat emitter such as radiators, then the underfloor heating could overheat. By fitting a modulating manifold, it will operate like a traditional temperature controlled manifold all the time the water temperature is higher than required. However, if the water temperature was to drop lower than the underfloor heating’s requirement, then the modulating part of the manifold would shut off to prevent any additional blending and therefore optimising the usage of the supplied water temperature.

These manifolds are best used in situations where there are multiple floor types and there is a modulating water temperature. They may also be useful in situations where a heat pump is to be added to the project in the future.
