The manifolds should be positioned ideally somewhere central within your site. This helps keep the runs to and from the heated rooms short, and makes for a nice and easy installation and also helps reduce the manifold sizes.

You should also try to locate the manifolds in a cupboard out of the way so they do not take up any of your wall space that you have just freed up by having underfloor heating in the first place.
